Why Bursa?
Bursa Railway and Rail systems investments include investments made for the purpose of improving transportation in Bursa, Turkey. Since Bursa is an important city in terms of its population and industrial potential, its transportation infrastructure needs to be strengthened. In this context, railway and rail systems investments have an important place in Bursa. Thanks to these investments, transportation in the city is made faster, more comfortable and safer.
Railways:
Two large logistics centers and an iron and steel facility will be established with a railway line between Bursa-Gemlik and Yenişehir-İnegöl. Investments will pour into Bursa in the next 4 years. The signaling infrastructure will be improved so that the existing railway line can be used more effectively in Bursa, Eskişehir and Bilecik. Regarding passenger trains, tariffs will be applied to urban public transportation and intercity bus lines in all three provinces, and also to sea transportation in Bursa. Bursa West Logistics Center, which will serve Nilüfer and Karacabey in the western region, will be established next to the Bursa East Logistics Center, which is planned as a logistics village. In the area where the Gemlik Port Area and the railway meet, work will be started for storage areas and a freight transfer station. Bursa West Logistics Center will be connected to Bursa OIZ and Nilüfer OIZ with junction lines and a railway
line will be built between Bursa-Gemlik port. Another railway will be built between Yenişehir and İnegöl. The existing train lines in Bursa will be integrated with the high-speed train line under construction in Gürsu. Fast suburban transportation will be provided between TEKNOSAB Geçit and Gürsu-Yenişehir Airport on the Bursa-Osmaneli high-speed train line. Uludağ Cable Car Line will be integrated with urban rail system lines. In addition, the construction work of the Ankara-Bursa High Speed Train line continues,
and with the project coming into service, the travel time to Ankara will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Urban Rail Systems:
Bus lines with vertical connections to Bursa T2 Tram Line and Eskişehir Tram network will be developed. Our BURSARAY City Hospital project will serve 410 thousand passengers daily with a design speed of
80 kilometers per hour. By integrating our ongoing Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High Speed Train line and our metro, a comfortable and punctual transportation will be provided for the people of Bursa for high-speed train access. Emek and Balat Metro sections of the line were made ready for service. One of the most important ongoing transportation projects in Bursa is the City Hospital Metro. The new facility, which will be built with an approximately 1100 meter long Depot Area access line, will also serve the maintenance-repair and parking needs of Bursa’s entire metro vehicle fleet.
